Visit the Czech capital from Germany, Austria, Poland, Slovakia and Hungary by getting a direct train to Prague's Hlavni Nadrazi station.

Beautiful Prague is usually regarded as being in Eastern Europe, but realistically it is at the heart of the continent. This makes it an easy destination to reach from plenty of other great European cities by a direct train services.

Cities such as Berlin, Nuremberg, Frankfurt and Dresden in Germany are relatively close by, as are Linz, Salzburg and Vienna in Austria and Krakow and Warsaw in Poland.

Other cities, such as Bratislava in Slovakia and Budapest in Hungary are also within relatively easy reach of the magical Czech Capital.

From the rest of the continent, there are plenty of cheap flights to Prague, but for travellers who are currently in central Europe anyway, it makes sense to head for the railway station rather than the airport. Prague’s main train station (or Hlavni Nadrazi) is right by the old and new towns in the city, a short walk from the Vltava River, Charles Bridge, Astronomical Clock and Wenceslas Square, while the airport is a fair way out of the city and often quite awkward to get to and from.
